The main objective of this role is to execute the full financial administration. You manage the day to day bookkeeping operations and manage the debtors and creditors to maintain a perfectly accurate bookkeeping process.


  • Bookkeeping records are accurate, compliant and done in a timely manner for both Dutch and international entities.

  • Support the month close process so we can close the P&L and Balance sheet within 5 business days after the end of the month.

  • Weekly completion of incoming AP and AR positions.

  • Ensure that Ccreditors are paid within applicable due dates after the invoice date.

  • Outstanding debtors is less then 0.3% of the monthly MRR

Core activities

  • Processing & checks on purchasing/sales invoice for accuracy and contact customers/suppliers if needed

  • To prepare accounts for payments received and purchases made by the organization and booked on the correct GL and cost center

  • Prepare monthly accounting reconciliations

  • Taking care of incoming bank transactions ensuring up to date AP & AR aging matching them in Exact online

  • Be the go to person for our support team for our customer’s invoicing finance related questions

  • Help with the Debtor Management Workflow, instruct collection agency for external collection

  • Follow potential new audit processes

This includes equipment, transport, and personnel planning. Our young team works continuously from Utrecht (HQ), Toronto, and Colombo to make Rentman the global event rental tool. You will form the Finance team together with our Finance Specialist. You will work closely together to ensure, for example, that our creditors are paid on time. Together, you will report to the Director of Finance.

What We Ask

  • A bachelor degree in business administration or equivalent with booking keeping qualifications.

  • Minimum of 3 -5 years of finance or bookkeeping experience

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment

  • Experience working in Exact Online

  • Tech savvy and comfortable navigating between multiple IT tools

  • You are interested in what is behind the numbers

  • Fluent Dutch and English proficiency, written and spoken

  • A love for numbers & accurate way of working and self-checking
